Who Is Gary Lico?
 |
Gary’s a 45+ year veteran of TV program sales, development, production, research, scheduling and even hosted a TV talk-show! For more than 20 years, Gary Lico ran the company he founded, CABLEready, the first programming company dedicated exclusively to US cable networks.
Original programs developed by Gary over the years include FORENSIC FILES®, INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO, MONSTER QUEST, DEALS FROM THE DARKSIDE, INTERSECTIONS, SAW DOGS, WOMEN BEHIND BARS, SECRET LIVES OF WOMEN and scores of others. CABLEready’s third party, global representation business partnered with rights holders like Discovery, National Geographic, Reelz, TruTV, TV Guide and top independent producers such as Medstar Television, LMNO, Hoff Productions, Burrud Films and many more.
|
In 2010, as the company’s revenue was topping $15M, a storm of cancellations of its three top revenue-producers sent CABLEready on a downhill spiral ending with the closing of the company in 2013. Gary co-administrated the estate, but not before generating another $1M to creditors’ settlement. His transparency through CABLEready’s success and to it's liquidation, along with his relationships, reputation and experience, made it a softer landing for his clients.
In 2013, Gary was granted the exclusive global distribution rights to FORENSIC FILES, which he co-developed with Medstar Television in 1995.
